Sungshin Instrument and Tesollo to Showcase Automated Process System Using Grippers and Measuring Devices
Sungshin Instrument (CEO Hyunseong Yoon), the official Korean distributor of Japan’s leading precision measuring equipment brand Mitutoyo, and Tesollo (CEO Youngjin Kim), a specialized provider of robotic grippers and automation solutions, will jointly showcase a process automation system using grippers and measuring instruments at the 2025 Busan International Machinery Fair (BUTECH 2025), held from May 20 to 23 at BEXCO in Busan.
By combining Sungshin Instrument’s measuring devices with Tesollo’s Delto Gripper-3Finger (DG-3F) and Delto Gripper-2Finger (DG-2F), the two companies are demonstrating a high-precision industrial automation solution applicable across various manufacturing sectors including automotive, aerospace, and electronics.
Sungshin Instrument stated, “As a company with over 40 years of expertise in supplying measuring instruments in Korea, we’ve prepared this booth in collaboration with an excellent partner that is making a name in robotic automation,” adding, “We will showcase an automation solution that utilizes both measuring devices and robots.”
At the exhibition, Sungshin Instrument and Tesollo will demonstrate a robotic picking and assembly process capable of precisely measuring and handling tools of various sizes and shapes.
Occupying six booths in Hall 1 of the exhibition center, Sungshin Instrument is a specialist supplier of a wide range of precision measurement equipment and tools. The company also provides agent services, A/S and C/S support for various domestic and international brands, as well as comprehensive quality management solutions for production sites, including statistical process control.
Meanwhile, Tesollo, participating as a partner of Sungshin Instrument, will unveil its humanoid robotic hand DG-5F at Hall 2 of BEXCO.
Launched this year, the DG-5F is the most anthropomorphic finger-type gripper in Tesollo’s Delto Gripper Series. With five fingers, the DG-5F can handle irregularly shaped and variably textured objects with ease. It is capable of precise manipulation and gripping, comparable to human hand performance. It has passed over 2 million repeated precision tests, ensuring proven durability. Its modular design allows for easy component replacement, enabling fast and simple maintenance. The DG-5F is also compatible with various control systems and communication protocols such as ROS2, Modbus, and EtherNet, making it an ideal gripper for industrial applications.
This robotic hand can be easily integrated with various collaborative robots and manipulators, as well as user-developed controllers or PCs, without requiring equipment changes.
A Tesollo representative stated, “The DG-5F has already been applied to automation lines in industries such as automotive, electronics, and semiconductors. Its ability to handle products of varying sizes and shapes with a single gripper has garnered strong interest from manufacturers.” The representative added, “Its real-time feedback on position and current enables fast and accurate control.”
As the motor rotation directly drives finger movements, the DG-5F allows for immediate response and control. With a goal of fully automating and unmanning manual processes, Tesollo previously attracted significant industry attention by showcasing a dual-arm robot solution using the DG-5F at Automation World, Asia’s largest smart factory and automation exhibition, in March this year.
Also featured at the Sungshin Instrument booth is Tesollo’s flagship model, the DG-3F, which received a CES 2025 Innovation Award this January at the largest consumer electronics trade show in the U.S., further demonstrating Tesollo’s technological excellence. In addition to this, Tesollo offers a wide range of end-effectors including ▲finger-type grippers, ▲electric parallel grippers, and ▲hybrid/customized grippers.
